Kate Moss Retrospective

Kate Moss revolutionized the modeling industry, and perhaps the fashion world as a whole when she broke onto the scene – 5′ 7″ and waifish, she was a 180 degree turn from the likes of Cindy, Naomi and Linda.  To celebrate her career, which, in comparison with most models has lasted eons, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris will stage a exhibition of iconic shots through the years.

Her personal life has been the stuff of tabloids, tracking her supposed drug use and romances with Johnny Depp, Pete Dougherty, and Jamie Hince.  However, her modeling career is pretty much beyond reproach.

Up Close with Anna Dello Russo

Anna Dello Russo is a fashion fixture as the Editor at Large and creative consultant for Vogue Nippon.  She is also quickly becoming even better known for her choices of outfits during fashion week, and really any other time she is out and about.  Swide Magazine got the inside scoop on her planning process for selecting her wardrobe, which involves 6 months of planning to construct 90(!!) outfits changes during a typical fashion week.  That is commitment, but it’s no surprise.  Anna Dello Russo also has her own blog, which you can check out here.

Hair Apparent

I happen to adore Leigh Lezark’s style, but for the moment I am fixated on her hair.

I am currently in the process of growing out an angled bob.  I love the sleek look, but I also miss the ability to throw my hair into a ponytail to go for a run or when my hair is not cooperating, so I am working at being patient and letting it do its thing.  I’m thinking I will keep the overall shape and just continue to grow it out, seeing as how these photos demonstrate that you can keep it looking good at all lengths.  My hair is also pretty dark naturally, but I am tempted to go darker every time I see her photo…But for now, I will just stick to copying her hairstyle.

…Just Arrived

Pleased to meet you.  Formerly of Blogger, I have made the jump to WordPress and am glad to be here.  As I mention in my ‘Details’ section, a few things to know about me:

Likes: Coffee, foreign languages, pups, fashion, law, glamour, brunch, being a night-owl

Dislikes: Chipped nails, mushrooms, people who are rude and/or overly endowed with a sense of entitlement, LOL speak, waking up early

In real life, I am a bit of an introvert, which means that the relative anonymity of the internet suits me.
