Rochas RTW Fall 2010

The Rochas collection harkened back to the 60s with its teased hair, sleek pants and minis.  Designer Marco Zanini said that his muse was 1969 Goldie Hawn and “serious Swede” Ingrid Bergman.  With that in mind, one might imagine over the top retro, but the collection was just mod enough without crossing any lines.  The clothing was sleek and not fussy.  The richness came from the fabrics and not over-embellishments, with the exception of a well-placed ruffle here and there.  The sexy, mussed-up and volumized hair provided the counter balance and pulled it together.  Needless to say, I’m a fan.

So true! If I had long enough hair, I would probably rock a less ‘Jersey-esque’ version of it, too (*hangs head in shame).
